Error at checkout: Please select at least one membership option.

A new price set was created for purchasing gift memberships, using two membership levels. A new contribution page was set up using this price set. Purchase is not possible because of this error:

Please correct the following errors in the form fields below: Please select at least one membership option.

There's nothing to select, other than the units of gift membership. Is there possibly something missing from the UI?

You are using a membership setting and a price set within that. Disable it.

Use a price set under Amounts tab.
