Marginally. It would be much more helpful to know what exactly you did. Be verbose. And provide the following details:
Shell you're using to run? rvm, bash, zsh, oh-my-zsh... Where are you sourcing RVM? ~/.bash_profile, ~/.bashrc, ~/.profile, ~/.zshrc... New RVM install or upgrade.
No probs. I already had rvm installed with 1.9.2 and 1.8.7 and I'm using bash.
cat .bashrc
PATH=$PATH:$HOME/.rvm/bin # Add RVM to PATH for scripting
I copied the application into my applications directory. Then ran it. First it said RVM was out of date so I ran the update which appeared to work. I then clicked on dashboard and then it closed and asked if I wanted to submit a report to apple (which I copied on my previous post). Now when I load it the dashboard tab is already selected so crashes instantly with no chance to click something else before it crashes.
Also, I just tried running it again and it updated again but then crashed as soon as it was ready. Let me know if you need any more info.
The best thing I can do would be to send you the beta for v1.4 and work through it live with you via IRC. Perhaps this weekend sometime?
That's fine although I leave my laptop at work (cycle home) so this sort of time during the week is better if you can do that?
What timezone are you in?
Sydney +10
I will also try the application on my home laptop to see if I get the same problem.
I'm in the middle of a late-night software deployment and have to be back early (my) tomorrow morning. So by the time I finish that and can work through this issue it would already be your weekend =/
Let me know if you can get it to work on your home machine and we'll go from there.
No worries, I'll let you know :)
@sebastyuiop Can you let me know if this issue still exists for you in this build http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5676052/JewelryBox_v1.4_b1.zip
It's been a week with no word on if the beta resolves this issue. I can't hold up the release any longer for this. I'll leave the issue open for another week or two in case others still experience this.
I have his exact same issue with exactly the same steps leading up to the crashing (except I use zsh not bash, and I'm 10.8.1) ... Going to try your 1.4 b1 now...
Crashes immediately still... the main jewelerybox window comes up, the check for updates automatically box flashes and immediately both disappear and the "quit unexpectedly" box comes up with the option to ignore, report or reopen ...
You can find me on irc as chrixian
I'll sit in #rubunity if you want any more info
@chrixian Can you gist the crash report and the output of rvm disk-usage all
Haven't heard anything back. Considering this issue stale and closing for now. Will revisit if it persists for users after the 1.4 release.
Installed fine but crashes when I click on dashboard. I'm not sure if this is useful:
