@nicobauer Felix (@fschreyer ) and me ran into issues when updating SSP1/5 input data because it is unclear which of the differences that currently exist between the files are explicit and therefore should be kept when updating technology costs, and which differences are random errors because someone updated parameters in the SSP2 file but not in the other files.
We briefly discussed this and the main solution that came to our mind was to go away from 4 separate complete files and to only have relative markups (+/- x%) for the individual technologies written down for SSP1/3/5 that are then applied to the latest technology assumptions in the SSP2 file. This will then ensure that any further technology updates in the SSP2 file are automatically taken up in the other SSP technology data.
to make this possible, please take 5 minutes NOW to write down the relative markups that you placed on technologies for SSP3 (while you still have them in memory), and share with us so that when the time comes to implement this more robust system we have the necessary data at hand.
ah, I now saw that Felix already opened in issue for this: https://github.com/remindmodel/development_issues/issues/414
so it would be great if you could post the SSP3 markups/markdowns there
@robertpietzcker do we have a template for the mark-ups/downs? Otherwise I would go ahead and set the standard :-)
