The AUC represents the model's classification performance and can range from 0.0 to 1.0, where a value of 0.5 is the equivalent of random guessing while an AUC of 1.0 indicates a perfect prediction \cite{fawcett2006}.
Add citation justifying AUC in ML methods and relation to ROC at end of the methods.
