I had very long delay building commons-base under Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS on ch.ge.ve.commons.crypto.utils.SaltUtilsTest.

Both point are fine by me. I'll let you tackle theses changes so that they are formulated and organized as you wish, the goal of this PR is only to get the info out there since this is an early blocking (pun intended) step for Linux users.
