Remove the connection indicators entirely (+setting)

Probably if you couldn't see it people wouldn't care much, but you can and it 
bothers people. My suggestion - either don't ever make it visible that the app 
is syncing in the background, or give people the option to disable it.

Yes, I plan to remove the connection indicator. As a first step, I disabled it 
by default some months ago.

I'm thinking about this again.

What currently keeps me from removing it is the habit of bitcoinj hammering on 
nodes. My testnet client regularly sucks 40% of battery for that reason, and 
I'm sure its also the reason for some peoples high mainnet battery usage. I 
think we should fix that first, then remove the option.
