Mirroring monitors (VGA) doesn't work / Monitore Spiegeln verursacht Grafikfehler #21

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Mirror Monitors / Monitore Synchronisieren

What netbook are you using this on?
dell mini 9 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
colorful barcode on both monitors / Farbenfroher Strichcode auf beiden Monitoren

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SL 10.6

Please provide any additional information below.
Using an extra monitor works expect the mirroring. / Verwendung eines externen 
Monitors 
funktioniert, nur das spiegeln nicht.
Delete the WindowServer file if you already have activated the mirroring.  / 
Zum Zuruecksetzen 
die WindowServer-Datei loeschen

Yup, mirroring doesn't work in Snow Leopard. The mirror friendly gma option is 
only for 10.5 (I'll dissable the 
checkbox for 10.6 in the next version).

I'll try to include the mirroring off command again (that was included w/ 
DellEFI) so that it's easy to disable 
mirroring.

I wouldn't say the external monitor option doesn't work in Snow Leopard.  I had 
it 
working just fine using 0.8.3 and 10.6.2.  Now I get the kaliedoscopic bars 
since I 
upgraded to 0.8.4-RC1 and 10.6.3.

Under 10.6.2 I had it working fine using the "mirror-friendly GMA" option and 
0.8.3.

Technically I'm not 'mirroring' though because I'm not sending the same image 
to 
both monitors, I am just driving an external monitor.

I would really like to see this work in 0.8.4 / 10.6.3 like it was under 0.8.3 
/ 
10.6.2.
