add support for vbuckets #153

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
This newfangled membase has something called vbuckets for hashing. If we add
that to spymemcached, then spymemcached can talk directly to membase.

Prerelease based on 2.6 is available here:

Looks like spymemcached 2.6rc2 does NOT have this Membase-friendly code, but
2.7 will? (Or did I miss something?)

Is there an ETA on 2.7? Any way I can help get it out the door?

@yoavshap... this is correct. I have a branch for the 2.7 already, and it's
not that far behind actually. The only reason for a different version number
is that I have to add to the underlying interface.

If you've been grabbing the prerelease and giving feedback, that's great
already; let me try to resynch that today and then I could use some more help
on making sure it's right. if you're up for more surgical coding, there are a
few new features needed

Thanks! Will grab the pre-release and play some more, giving feedback as it
comes up.
