First thing to decide: what do we want to see in this repo, and how will it be organised?

See https://github.com/topics/awesome for examples of other awesome-* lists?
What are our criteria for adding something to this list?
Are we focussing on open-source/science/infrastructure, or is any relevant infrastructure acceptable?

I would say we have https://github.com/rseng/awesome-rseng for inspiration - so something akin to that, but to focus on infrastructure efforts? Selfishly speaking I'm interested in what cool / open source work is being done in our community that I could help with!

we decided to

start with use cases. In our work, what kind of cloud based solutions do we work on often.
then find out what are the common themes (if any) and think what kind of help we can provide for them

Any reason y'all wrote separate files instead of writing into https://github.com/rseng/awesome-infra/blob/main/docs/use-cases.md? It makes it slightly harder to read, e.g., more clicks.
