Original idea: "So imagine this game that is placed inside an operating system where you (the operating system) are trying to defend yourself against resource intensive applications (browser). The goal is to dodge electrical shocks fired by the application and prevent it to increase it's RAM usage (SCALE), which in case of a browser is by destroying open tabs and preventing it from eating cookies.
You (the player) is represented by the operating system mascot (Linux - Penguin, Windows - Clippy, MacOS - Apple).
The application is represented by the browser icon (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc...).
Draft of game
The game is not saveable, but rather you compete for a leaderboard.
The player gains points based on the time survived, cookies cleaned and amount of tabs destroyed. There is also a multiplier that increases when the ram usage decreases.
The game ends when the operating system health reaches zero or the RAM usage exceeds the maximum.
The game starts after the user selects a theme/space/background (where the game is played), the browser to use (Chrome, Firefox, etc) and the operating system to fight for. Different operating systems have side effects in terms of difficulty:
Different themes also have side effects in terms of game play/difficulty:
There should be a simple soundtrack that is played throughout the game. There should also be sound effects for cleaning cookies, movement, electrical shocks, etc.
There should be upgrades that the player can buy when reaching certain points
