We need a weatherproof enclosure for the PNI Fieldforce TCM digital compass. This is a small, extremely expensive circuit board that must be mounted in an absolutely weatherproof enclosure, including the connection to the DB9 cable. Since digital compasses are strongly affected by the presence of ferric metals, the entire enclosure must be non-ferric. This includes nuts and screws, which must either be aluminum or plastic.
This enclosure will be mounted on the sensor tower. This might be difficult without using steel screws and nuts, so be sure to consider that in your design. Polycarbonate is likely the best material choice for the walls of the enclosure and aluminum screws and standoffs for mounting the PCB.
Requirements
Completely weatherproof, including the DB9 connector
Absolutely no ferric material, including mounting hardware
Compass must be mounted with a known orientation with respect to the chassis.
