Students may find an estimate of a question's difficulty desirable for practice quizzes.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Some issues were discussed where different instructors may consider a question to be different difficulties so attaching the difficulty to the question forces the second instructor to duplicate the question in order to change the difficulty.

Perhaps adding the difficulty controls to the create quiz form would help?
