Hello! I've recently found this mod through a discord server and was curious to try it. I know it's extremely early access alpha but if you don't mind I'm going to give suggestions on what to improve, ask about things, and report any bugs i've found.

Thanks for reporting the bugs and suggestions etc., I'll get working on these for the next release!

For the suggestions, the next version will use TAB for the menu and incoporate the design changes and interaction with the mouse. I'll sort the plants being compostable. As for the compass icons/letters at faster refresh rates, I'll see what I can do regarding configurations.

To answer your questions:

[Questions]

  1. Is the mod compatible with Terralith? I'm wondering if the mod's structures will spawn properly regardless of world gen mods.

Possibly? - I've not tested the mod against Terralith, so in the meantime I'll rely on the community to gauge this in the meantime.

  1. Are you going to re-add the wiki pages from the original repository?

Yes!

  1. Are you going to prioritize Modrinth or Curseforge as your main download page? I just noticed that your curseforge page is much older than your modrinth page and has way more versions supported (including 1.21.1)

I will be moving over to Modrinth as primary and maintain Curseforge as a secondary, I am currently in the process of adding older versions of the mod onto Modrinth.

  1. How many of Skyrim's mechanics are going to be adapted to minecraft? for example, weight and being overencumbered?

Currenlty we have weight, lycanthropy and vampirism in the works to be integrated into the mod, but I am open to suggestions!

  1. Should Iron Armor be counted as light armor? wouldn't it be heavy armor?

Let's make this a heavy armor then!

  1. Are you going to make Minecraft's XP system affect / be affected by Skyrim's XP system?

I dont have any plans too as I am working alongside Minecraft mechanics, as opposed to replacing them entirely, but again; open to suggestions.

You are a focused guy, I'm looking at your project and I see a future. Continue your hard work!

I have some qeustions too:

1- You will add a config file to automatically tags modded armors and weapon to determined light or heavy category?

2- There is a compatibility between this mod and better combat?

3- I can use all the mod's functions in multiplayer with my friend?

4- In a heavy modded scenario, how this mod works in tendeen with other mods that changes world gen, combat, xp, mobs, etc?

ryankshah commented 1 month ago

In theory, better combat and this mod should be compatible, likewise with many others - but again as before I rely on the community to notify me of any incompatiblities that I may be able to rectify. However, given the size of the mod and what is to eventually come, its difficult to maintain compatibility with many others.

As for serverside, yes everything should be functional in multiplayer.

For the configuration, this is not planned for the next release, but I can add it to my tracker for an upcoming release in future.

Nice, so it's a very solid mod.

I'm making a modpack in 1.21 to play with some friend in a closed server, and It will contain ~300 mods.. I'm making the modpack mod by mod and I'll probably come here in your github if something does't work well to tell you

@Mine181 the wiki has now been ported over and will be updated soon - https://github.com/ryankshah/skyrimcraft-multiloader/wiki

Also, Version 0.3.1 of the mod was just released which fixes many bugs, including some of those posted above! - https://modrinth.com/mod/the-ender-scrolls-skyrimcraft/

Mine181 commented 1 month ago

Very nice! but 0.3.1 does not work on 1.21.1 despite saying that support is for 1.21.x versions.
