HUD Component visual problem #165

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
All of the HUD Components I add to my HudWindow act very strange when I
interact with them.

This happens most prominently with HudComboBox. When I click to change the
value, it turns grey. (screenshot below)

How is this problem fixed? Will it be repaired in the future? Or what am I
doing wrong in my code?

DefaultComboBoxModel model = new DefaultComboBoxModel(new String[] {"Web Safe
Colors", "RBG Colors"});
                comboBox = HudWidgetFactory.createHudComboBox(model);
                northPanel.add(comboBox);

I'm having the same problem with all my components is HudWindows. I also end up
with black corners, instead of the standard transparent ones. I'm running this
on Mac OS X 10.6.

I had the same problem with components not being repainted properly when
interacting with them. I found this to be related to the container panel being
set to opaque. If opaque is set to false for the parent panel, all components
are repainted as expected.

The parent panel IS set to false. It is only when I change a value in a
combobox that the color distorts to that gray color... I would really like to
take this component pack seriously, but when you have big obvious bugs like
this it's hard to.
I wish someone would fix this. :P

I have found that the issue you describe is not present in the latest source,
only in the latest compiled library, so you might try downloading the source
and compiling your own copy of the library, rather than using the pre-compiled
version.
