Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Is it reproducible?
yes, everytime I have tried context menu since the update.
If yes, what steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Update
2.right click on a file

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect md5 sum option,...

instead : nothing

What version of the product are you using (Binary/Source/32/64bit)? On what
operating system (XP,Vista,7,32/64bit)?

I am using the bin 64bit on 7 64bit

What is the language of your operating system/keyboard language?
I'm on french system/keyboard

Please provide any additional information below.

I tried to unregister then register the shell extension, reboot many time
(after install, after registration)

I check with sysinternal autoruns.exe the shell extension seems to be well
registered

(unrelated : since the update sometime explorer.exe crash when i double-click
on a folder)

I will try a clean reinstall if I can't work this out (but I'll have to redo
all the customization =( )

Do the context menu events exist in your configuration and are they activated?
Do the file extensions in the configuration match?

yes and yes

there are 8 context menu events (all enabled)
and for example it's a wildcard * for MD5 Checksum (so I think it should work
with any?)

I tested on an x64 machine now with a clean installation of 7plus and
everything you mentioned works fine for me. Try deleting (possibly backup if
you need old settings) %appdata%\7plus while 7plus is not running to revert to
default settings.

After a new clean installation the context menu works fine.
(but now I have a "Event Editor : Event not found" error when I try to edit an
event but It's an other issue)

Sorry to hear that you're having such issues. Does that error happen
reproducibly or once/randomly?

I've seen the event editor bug happen on an x64 system now.
I will close this bug report though since I opened another one on this error to
maintain a better overview.
