Hello,

I have been trying to remuco working with my phone for over 5 months now. I
am using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) and I have the latest version of
remuco player adapter installed for rhythmbox and for the client. I go into
my phone and open up the application and it opens up. I connect my computer
to the phone. Once it starts to look for the player, all the screen says
is: Searching for players. If anyone can help, it would be greatly
appreciated.

Does the screen 'Searching for players' appear 'forever' or does it return
with an error message after a while?

Are you able to read the logs in the client (there is a menu point/command
called 'Log')?

Harit, I need some more information to help you.

Are you able to read the logs in the client (there is a menu point/command
called 'Log')?

Do you use Wifi or Bluetooth for connecting to the computer?

In case you use Bluetooth:
- Can you use other Bluetooth stuff, like sending files to your computer
(running Ubuntu 8.10) or browsing your LG CU720 from the computer (via the
Bluetooth applet)?
- Have you tried the instructions in the FAQ at
http://remuco.sourceforge.net/index.php/FAQ ?

Hey guys, I really need some more detailed information in order to detect
where those LG devices fail. See the comment posted on 13 April 2009.

nothing interesting serverside: no errors on my logs.
Clientside (LG Arena): my computer is seen on bluetooth.
Here is my log:
main loop alive (30)
{RM} started
{BF} bluetooth yes
{TH} loaded theme Vilanco
{CF} load success
{CF} close ok
{CF} load: --devs--- = OO1122334455,ubuntu1,B
{CF} open: ok, using 1/4096KB
{CF} UTF8: yes

"ubuntu1" is my computer's name on bluetooth.

I can browse my device from ubuntu but i'm experiencing trouble when it
comes to send data from phone to computer.
My adapter is a belkinF8T016 (bluez patched..)

I've tried to send data from my Sony ericson and it does not work too (even
if sending from my computer to my phones works..), the phone can't see my
computer in fact.. Nevertheless, i have been able to associate it from
gnomebluetooth wizard.
The point is that the phones work perfectly fine on mac os x with the same
bluetooth dongle.
(sorry for my terrible english)

OK.. Actually, remuco works perfectly well with my sony ericsson , i can
control mpd without the slightest problem.
SO: the problem comes from the LG phone, not from my dongle or my
installation (ubuntu).

Ok, thanks. I guess there is an issue in the Bluetooth service discovery of
the LG's Java Bluetooth implementation. I'll prepare some special client
versions to check where exactly the problem is located and how to solve it.
Once I've done that, it would be nice if you could test those client
versions on your LG phone. I'll get back to you on this later.

Regards,
Oben

I'm very sorry, but I didn't have time to prepare client test versions in
the last week and I also won't have time within the next 2 weeks. Sorry for
that.

I'll drop a note here in around 2-3 weeks when there are news on this issue.

Regards,
Oben

Just created client test versions. Please read the following post, which is
about a similar problem:

http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7533553

Report test results here.

Thanks for feedback!
