Meeting Notes: April 5th (Wordpress and Templates)**

After working on proposed site map sections, we met to explore more about Wordpress and themes.

Hosting-Wordpress and Pantheon:
Annette made a request to have a Wordpress instance on Pantheon to build the site. Site would eventually be hosted at Penn and we are looking into that.

Building Out the WIT Site: Two Possible Directions:

1. Use one of the free or paid templates in Wordpress
2. Use a WSYWG site builder to create the features, layout and colors we want --as we want them

Team concluded that the WSYWG approach would be better.

• We will have more flexibility/can achieve a more modern look
• Easy to work with at all levels (admin and content)
• Simple to modify and edit
• Liz is familiar with the page builders/can create a template
• Once template is created, anyone can add content -Liz suggests Divi - have worked with this tool before
• Relatively inexpensive ( ~90 per year or $245 for life)
