Alert ; THR is not idle #50

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. THR stick is in position -100.
2. Switch power ON.
3. Message at the screen : THR not idle.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Installed new FW R146 and I have made again calibration. Stick THR has position
-98 or -100, as usual, but each time, when I switch on power, I have message
"ALERT THR not idle" (syntax is according device). I expect see this message
only once, after I had installed FW 146 with new calibration method and after I
have made it, I don't see this message anymore.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
R146

Please provide any additional information below.
FW146 completely erases my EEPROM from vers 136.

thr recognition is changed like proposed in issue37 .

Procedure would be (in case you have the incorrect THR alarm):
- Put the stick in the THR idle position
- Go to the alarms menu, and turn the THR alarm off and on again.

does this work for you?
see also issue 6

FW146 completely erases my EEPROM from vers 136.
This should not happen.
Please send me the contents of your eeprom (r136). I hope you have saved it
before.

Problem was fixed according your proposal. Thanks. Btw, alarm message is : "THR
not idle". I think "is" missed.

your eeprom file is ok. it contains two models 1:SLOYKA3, 11:HELI 120.
I could use this eeprom in r149 without any problems.
Did you upload the eeprom contents after you flashed the new software?
With the standard fuse-setting the eeprom is erased when the flash is
reprogrammed and therefore you have to upload the eeprom after flashing.

In the attachment is the contents of your eeprom in a textual representation.

You are right. I forget to upload it after reflash and I think EEPROM would
stay as is. Thanks a lot. Issue closed.

By the way
you can change the fuse-high from 0x89 to 0x81, then you can omit the
reflashing of the eeprom. With the changed fuse the eeprom-range is preserved
during flash-erase.
