Files not uploading - installation URL different from public URL (changed after install) #205

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. URL used for installation is different from public URL
2. URL adapted in General options
3. After uploading files either via FTP or via web interface, files are not 
showing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
1. I see a list of Files not uploaded

Installation URL: www.akilmanagementservices.com/filesharing
Public URL: www.akil.com.bh/filesharing 

We can access the web front end via the Public URL, e-mail is also working 
fine. Yet, file uploads don't work. In Branding logo uploading also fails.

I believe a setting somewhere URI or URL related.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Remotely hosted web server. Installed via Installatron. Using Mac.

Please provide any additional information below.

I fixed it myself. It had to do with the file / folder permissions; using FTP I 
set all permissions on all files and folders to include WRITE. After this 
change I was able to upload files and company logo.
