Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to play any station through WiiRadio both general stations and those
on the playlist.
2. Buffering window appears and then error message "stream error, reconnect"
will scroll across.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see station information instead "stream error, reconnect"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v0.4 on rev13a

Please provide any additional information below.
No other network errors, shoutcast streaming works fine through web browser,
ports open on
router. Wii connectivity fine for other apps.

It sounds like a weak network signal problem. Have you been able to use
WiiRadio in
the past? You can run a test by selecting a genre from the list (one you've not
requested before) and see if any results are returned.

Also you listed the WiiRadio version as v0.4 on rev13a. What is rev13a?

Thanks for the info.

Network signal is clear for other apps. Running homebrew channel 1.03 (CIOS
rev13a vs. rev13b). Already
tried to use a new station from the genre list and receive the same error.

Tried a reinstall of WiiRadio but no change. Have been using the program for
over a month successfully
before this arose recently. Updated to the most recent version when it was
released but had no problems
until this past week.

No changes in my home network and no other connectivity issues with other
devices or with other homebrew
applications on the wii. Signal strength on my laptop when placed near the wii
is very strong (only about 20
ft. from my wireless router).

closing for now. Hopefully if this is a problem with WiiRadio's network code
it will
be fixed with 0.5 updates.
