Click on the "Settings" tab for the repository. This is usually found on the repository page, right next to the "Insights" tab.
Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section at the bottom of the Settings page.
Find the "Archive this repository" button. Click on it.
Read the warning message carefully. Archiving the repository will make it read-only. This means you and others won't be able to push new commits, open issues, or initiate pull requests.
