Needs the signed version of the application for Gate Keeper

I'm actually surprised that it's taken as long as it has for someone to create an issue regarding Gate Keeper. Just for my curiosity, have you encountered this problem with Gate Keeper personally? I'm assuming you're using the GM that was released to developers.

No, it's been perfect. I'd rather just not have to lower my security settings. That is all. :)

It runs into Gate Keeper for me, but one can work around this WITHOUT lowering the security settings by option-clicking the app and “open” from there. Do that once and Gate Keeper “accepts” that its okay to launch it and won't bug you again
