Job to Automatically Import Plex Users #3598

Open stephenmoore33 opened 1 year ago

Description

It would be beneficial to have a job option to run on a schedule (nightly) to search Plex for newly invited members, and add them as a user to Overseerr.

Additionally (let me know if this should be a separate issue), being able to set default (in Settings > Users) Auto-Request Movies and Auto-Request TV Shows in Plex watchlist would be fantastic.

By default, Plex users can sign in any time to your Overseerr instance without being imported (assuming they have access to your server). There is no need to auto import them.

Even if we did auto import them and allow default watchlist requesting, it wouldn't work until those users signed in manually because we need their Plex token to actually see their watchlist.

Though I can see there is a way to allow users of our PMS instance to login, this feature could also come with automatic removal (or disable) of an account if the user(s) are no longer allowed to your our PMS instance.

Having this would give better feedback to the Admin to know that users are being allow and blocked as time goes by. It could/should also clear-up (maybe an option to 'disable' removed users, so we can see them but know their disabled 🤷‍♂️) on who's allowed and not allow.
