[BUG] Latest download won't startup on Windows 10 #492

Thanks for taking the time to write a bug report! Use the following prompts to help you describe what's going on. The more info you provide, the easier it'll be to understand how to fix it for you without having to come back and ask you questions.

Describe the bug Downloaded NeuralAmpModeler-v0.7.9-win.zip . I unzip the file and started installer. The installer ran fine with no errors. The started the software once the installer was complete. Nothing happens. I get a brief flash of the microphone on the windows taskbar. The software never starts up and now error message is shown.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'NeuralAmpModeler-v0.7.9-win'
  2. Unzip NeuralAmpModeler-v0.7.9-win
  3. Install NeuralAmpModeler Installer.exe
  4. No error shown
  5. Start NeuralAmpModeler.
  6. Software doesn't start.
  7. No error message shown.

Expected behavior Software loads correctly

Okay, If unplug the interface then start-up the software, it will load correctly. I then plug in the interface and it detects it in the Preference menu. unfortunately no matter what settings i use it doesn't see any signal from the interface( the meters on the software dont move). I know the interface is getting a signal from the guitar as the leds flash when I strum.

If you have the option of using a guitar input or Di box into input 1 of your audio interface, try that. Otherwise, load up the plugin in your DAW or plugin host of choice and it should work without any issues. Unfortunately the standalone version only works via input 1, but, using the plugin does mean you'll have more options and ultimately a more fun time =)

You were spot on. I had the guitar plugged into channel 2. Moved it to channel 1 and started working great. Still have to unplug the interface before I start up the software then plug it back in.
