Not a tech-ticket; just wondering if anyone is still developing Avalanche or
that development has been moven in-house to a seedbox-provider and installs on
request?

Avalanche is definitely still under development, although it has moved to its
new home over on GitHub. Things are a little up in the air at the moment and is
a few months over schedule, but rest assured it is coming!

Also there is no affiliation with any seedbox providors, except for a
recomendation of a seedbox providor on the homepage of course

Cheers for the reply; I will dig tru GitHub soon :)

One last question though; is the current version still secure enough (and
compatible) with the current packages of rtorrent and apache (Debian 6)

The new site for avalanche is http://avalanchebt.org/, which points to the
github repo (https://github.com/AvalancheBT/Avalanche).

To answer your question though, the current version should be compatible
rtorrent/apache. I personally test on Ubuntu which afaik uses the same rtorrent
from upstream (from memory, 0.8.6 I think). Avalanche works with 0.8.5+. The
web server is kind of irrelevant as long as it supports connecting to the
socket or port that rtorrent provides.
