Remaining tasks and scheduling

Winter is here. The resorts have opened and it is time to go snowboarding. It will probably still be a month or so before the season goes full open. Until then, we should try to finish up as much as possible of the shed. If we can get the interior and electronics up, we can consider it to be done.

This issue is for us to list up all remaining tasks that we can think of, and try to assign a proper schedule to it.

• sealing the air gaps of the overhang
• remaining insulation bits (2nd layer of wall, ceiling, entrance top, triangular section)
• window frame
• door frame
• dry wall
• do I need to apply mud?
• power points

Until now, I've focused on structure because I wanted to play build. Now that we're where we are, I need to start thinking about the interior designs too. Time to start collecting ideas.

I probably won't do any shed tasks until the winter slush begins and it's not longer fun to snowboard. Probably mid March ~ April.

But once we get back into it, I would like to spend 1~2 weeks intensive so that I consider this complete.

Winter is over.

Initial idea was to spend some time working on them over GW, but this year's GW seems to just be a 2 long weekends. Back to back, yes, but there're still 4 work days in between.

There are a few tasks that we can begin working on immediately.

• remove the blue sheets and look for leaks etc to fix
• sealing the roof air gaps
• spray form any other air gaps
• plan where the wiring should go
• completing the wall insulation and plastic wrapping
• do the wall framing thingy, have to confirm with 松沢 about what to do

I'm unsure if the ceiling insulation is necessary. Though I didn't spend time in the shed, it was always warm and toasty during the short moments I've been in time.

The shed walls are something I'm not sure about. I want to make use of the remaining MDF and there should be enough for the back walls. Maybe even the window and entrance walls if we use the off cuts.

I want the walls to be strong and sturdy so that I can mount stuff on to them, so I was planning on using plywood. But I know where the studs are and I could always just drill into those.

If I used plaster board, I would have to add putty, then sand them down. I'm not really interested in doing that. But if I want a nice flat wall, those are better choices.

So? When can we start? What's the schedule like? How much to dedicate? When do we want to finish?

There are about 2 weeks worth of snowboarding days left. I want to make use of them. So that leaves out weekdays. We'll spend some weekends on them, provided nothing else pops up.
