Agenda

gterzian commented 9 months ago

Could someone please add a quick intro to the current embedding strategy as part of the "Embedding experiments" item?

atbrakhi commented 9 months ago

@gterzian We have a meta issue for the currently ongoing embedding effort https://github.com/servo/servo/issues/30593. Did you mean something outside of this?

gterzian commented 9 months ago

@atbrakhi thanks for sharing the issue. Yes perhaps someone could give a quick intro into the matter? Also I wanted to ask if we plan on switching to Tauri as the default integration for Servo, which I think is perhaps covered by the "libsimpleservo? " item in the issue.

Hi! Will be there to talk about Dioxus and our integration with http://github.com/jkelleyrtp/stylo-dioxus.

@atbrakhi I believe material shown in the TSC can be used for the Dixous/Stylo slide for the Embedding presentation for Fosdem. Can you make a placeholder in reveal.js for now and share with @jkelleyrtp ?

gterzian commented 9 months ago

I would like to discuss the following topics:

  1. Tauri embedding as default embedding? Sort of part of "Embedding experiments".
  2. Progress on cleaning-up script crate, spidermonkey integration.
  3. Progress and approach to supporting Xterm JS.
  4. My sponsorship to work on Servo.
wusyong commented 9 months ago

@gterzian I can also help talk about the embedding strategy and plan my next move to keep developing it. As @atbrakhi said, #30593 already lists the features I'm interested in pushing. Here are two main ones that I think I'll focus in next couple of months:

gterzian commented 8 months ago

@wusyong Great! Maybe we can have it as a quick topic during the meeting, and have a more extensive follow-up call later.

I've been updating the agenda according to the discussion here, missing things can be discussed in the AOB section.
