Currently the tool chain for writing translations only considers Linux
but it is possible to get it to work on Windows too (somehow ...).
To update the translation DB run make i18n-de. The application Poedit
has to be installed. Alternatively one can edit and compile the generated
pro_gram.po file manually.
The application currently detects the system language and translates all
GUI strings accordingly, defaulting to English.
