'%g' number formatting not working yet #60

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. '%g'%(9**9**2)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
'1.96627e+77'

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Brython version 1.0.20130126-094636

Please provide any additional information below.
%d and %f do appear to work as intended, just not %g
