Can't Uninstall Program: "Cannot load app info because the app.xml file could not be found" #76

I cannot uninstall a program I installed with jDeploy. Whenever I try to run the uninstaller, I get the error dialog saying "Cannot load app info because the app.xml file could not be found" I uninstalled this program once before and it worked, but now after installing an updated version the uninstaller won't work.

Thanks for reporting this. I'm looking into it to see if I can reproduce it with another app.

So far I haven't been able to reproduce this. Tried on a couple of different Windows 10 machines.

Hello, Everyone --

I'm having a similar problem. I am getting the message ("Cannot load app info because the app.xml file could not be found") when attempting to install on Windows 11. I had previously uninstalled my project, though it seems to have left a remnant -- it is still listed as an app, but I get a message, "Cannot find version 0.0.0-development for package splat. (The name of the project is splat.)

I am relatively new to Git and GitHub, but everything on that end seemed to be OK.

Any clues?

Everything looks in order on that one. Could be an intermittent network issue. Please try again and see if you get the same issue.

Thanks as always for your lightning response.  I did try it again and -- by golly! -- things went OK.  We are on the far end of our ISP, so that seems like a good diagnosis...
