Aborted (core dumped) when saving the joystick calibration. #1

After the calibration process, the software, when trying to save, aborts with the following error:

Saving calibration evjscal: jsdev.c:53: jsaxis_cal_set: Assertion `index < dev->axis_num' failed. Aborted (core dumped)

My joystick is a Genius MaxFighter F31D with gameport connection and I use a rockfire adapter from gameport to usb. "Padix Co. Ltd. 4-axis,4button joystick w/view finder" System: Kernel: 5.14.7-2-MANJARO x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.22.5 Distro: Manjaro Linux

I get the same Error, when I try to save the calibration with a Thrustmaster T160000 joystick. Saving the config for the Thrustmaster TWCS throttle works. (ArchLinux, desktop i3)
