Hi @zhouhana thanks for your feedback! The reason we use https://www.sitespeed.io/
as the default URL is that I'm not personally very found of examples that do not work (like URL that do not exist) and I do not want to use example.com since don't want to generate traffic. We lack a tutorial or new comers documentation page where we could explain some concepts etc, I will start to add that the coming week and ping you when its there, it would be great to get some feedback from you when its there.
Great, I can have a look at it when I have some time (unfortunately often busy with my small kids when not working). Adding a link to the video was a nice touch!
What do you think about something like this though? My idea here is that the URL in both the command and the directory name below the command is updated with JavaScript to reflect the URL in the input field. (Alternatively the directory name below the command could just be written out as "sitespeed-result/" without mentioning the unique subfolder. Probably better – less text, less confusing.)
The Docker Desktop link would take the user to https://www.docker.com/get-started
It would also be nice if the copy button next to the command was always showing; not only on hover.
Instead of just this line with little explanation:
It would be great to have an example page that isn't sitespeed.io, like
And also a line about where the test result ends up on the harddrive. I didn't understand at all how to use this tool, but just a minute of watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xAdxCUX2Po&ab_channel=sitespeed.io cleared it up for me.
