The latest version of ggl (0.11.1) provides two different implementations of
network
modules, one is based on libcurl another is based on libsoup. The libcurl one
can
only use the proxy server set via environment variable, such as http_proxy,
all_proxy, etc. The libsoup one can use the proxy settings of your GNOME desktop
(depends on if you libsoup was built with this feature).
So you may try the latest version with the libsoup network module (which should
be
the default one if the module is built).

Same problem here. Any workaround? Using Ubuntu 10.10. I can do it work at home
but not at office where I am behind a proxy.
