Thanks Shareef, this has been a very useful repository for me. I'm a novice programmer and a Dali novice as well, I do enjoy a proper challenge every now and then though.

Thanks to your code, I have managed to use my Mikreo Dali2 Click board on a Raspberry Pi, at least to successfully monitor the Dali bus. (At least, it seems that way)

I'm just unsure how far you have taken this project? Transmitting Dali telegrams with the code seems to lead to inconsistent results, for me anyway.

I'm not sure if you're still having an active interest in this, but if you do, some guidance would be super :-)

Hi there,

I never got this working. I had issues with the PiGPIO library that I couldn't work around or resolve so gave up and never had the time to revisit it. At the time there was no useful support from the PiGPIO maintainer and there are probably better solutions out there now including using an RP2040 and PIO.

Hi Shareef,

Thanks. I've come a bit further now though, and I'm now able to at least broadcast commands to my ballasts, to control their dimming level and light temperature (Tc). Gave me some headaches, but your code was key to it.

I've put my code here, if it is of interest to you (probably not): https://github.com/rtificial/rPi-Dali-2-Click

Cheers, Aart
