Generate Supportmaterial switches off Bridgedetection?! #4340

Open motwok opened 6 years ago

Version

1.3.0-dev

Operating System

Windows 10 Build 17025

Behavior

I have a little object with a little bridge... just about 2 cm... and i wonder why it is printed very urgly...

Locking at the preview, no way for good printing: withsupportmaterial Instead of straight from one side to the other there is infill printed in the air... like there is supportmaterial supporting the Bridge (doesn't matter the experimental "Don't Support Bridges" is set or not)

After playing around with many options i found only ONE that modifies this: When i remove the "Generate support Material" Option it looks like perfect in preview : nosupportmaterial And w/o any doubt it prints the bridge much better... but for some details i like to have support material.

Sorry a had no time in the past month… The issue is not solved… May i do something wrong.

Just the short version of my Text Above:

My conclusion: The Bridge is not detected as a Bridge when "Support Material" and "Supportmaterial on Build plate only" is set… i guess the second switch is ignored for Bridge Detection at all.
