I like the idea of making this list of essential developer links visible :)
Is the list on the main site's developer landing page OK? It's that bundle plus Source Code, Bug Tracker, and Roadmap.
Looks good to me. The only thing I would change is renaming the title of the "Why SMART?" page to "Overview" or something to this effect, because with the links it serves more purposes than simply answering the above question (I wouldn't think of looking for development links in a "Why SMART" page).
How about this? https://f.cloud.github.com/assets/2087481/24539/0a85f6a4-4ab0-11e2-9d7d-fff9a1d6d34f.png
Also, what do you think about the order of the Developer Links?

I think this is just what we need. The dev links make sense to me and the rest of the content complements them. Great job!
I think the page looks good. My only suggestion would be to consider highlighting container development somehow in additional to app development that is already there. Perhaps underneath the "Why write SMART apps?" section (directly before 'Where can SMART apps run?'), there could be a line: "Interested in developing SMART apps? Click here" which links to http://dev.smartplatforms.org/howto/build_a_smart_app/
Then, directly underneath the "Where can SMART apps run?" section, there could be another line: "Interested in SMART enabling your existing HIT platform? Click here" which links to new how-to container documentation slated in 0.6.
Good ideas, Nich -- thank you. Let's revisit when the documentation is ready...
Rachel and Ken were asking Josh for a good link collection they can send out to people interested in developing for SMART. Should we try to make the documentation landing page very lightweight, only one to two paragraphs? The current landing page is a good grand overview but maybe a little much if Rachel just tells people "go there".
Here's Josh's link bundle:
