Which sensors do we need? How can we access them?

Regarding the gyro and accelerometer: the hardware seems to have builtin pedometer functionalities, but the RIOT driver doesn't seem to implement them https://www.pololu.com/file/0J1088/LSM6DS33-AN4682.pdf
