Ten-second wait while browsing files in Open dialog

Describe the bug Whenever I use the Open dialog, it takes at least 10 seconds to load any directory (empty or otherwise) in the File picker. Chrome doesn't have this issue. Tested with default config.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Click Ctrl-F or pick File>Open and see if it lists the files immediately or if there is a 10-second wait where they cursor goes into loading mode.

Expected behavior It should load immediately

• SMPlayer version: 23.12.0+ds0-1build2
• OS: [e.g. Windows 10] Kubuntu 24.04
• Multimedia engine you're using with SMPlayer (preferences -> general): mpv
