It's not a big deal, but in 2024, we need better aesthetics.

I'm not either, but I'll learn and see if I can do something in the future, in the meantime, if others can contribute, that would be better.

KDE Plasma themes often come with alternative icons for most programs, including SMPlayer. So there are already lots of SMP redesigns out there, If you're pressed for a change, you could find one you like and contact the author, I'm sure they'll be glad to have their version be made the official one.
