Thats strange, because they were no changes in the video patching, so your TV
is NTSC and the game is PAL and you use composite cables right?
Original comment by fix94.1
on 28 May 2012 at 10:25
Yes that is correct, NTSC TV, NTSC console, using composite cables. The game
used to work, and I'm sorry I don't know what version it stopped working at.
If I have some time today I will down grade a little and see if I can figure
out what the last version it worked with was.

Wow...thank you so much to "dus..." for all the research into this issue and of
course to fix94 for and the other developers for all you do. I spent the last
few days attempting to figure out why a couple games that used to work on my
WiiFlow 2.1 setup no longer worked on r431. In the end I believe that I am in
the same boat as "dus..." I only have a handful of PAL games and the two that
I have found not working (that previously worked) are both PAL. I also found
that if I set the video for the individual game to PAL (either 50 or 60) the
black screen and the freeze of the system are no longer there. However, on my
old Sony CRT the screen simply starts rolling...
The two games I can add to the list are "The SIMS 3" and The SIMS 2: PETS". My
copy of Lego Batman works correctly on r431 but it happens to be NTSC so again
it points back to the issue described above.
I will add that besides the two games mentioned above I am LOVING r431 over
WiiFlow 2.1 so much. It is nice that it doesn't seem to ever (yea I know there
will be a few) need special settings for individual games and that instead it
just seems to figure it out. Also, my kids play so many games that the system
memory was almost full with the game saves and now that I have the NAND
Emulation on and all the game saves copied out of the system memory the system
has 2K blocks and the SD Card still has over 9K. Thank you VERY much.

OK, I did some extra testing and it turns out that I have 16 PAL games.
The only two that don't work are:
The SIMS 2: Pets
The SIMS 3
The ones I have verified working are:
Mario Strikers Charged Football
Project Runway
The Last Story
Disney Think Fast
Kung Fu Panda 2
Battleship
LEGO Harry 2
Mario Kart
SIMS Animals: Africa
Kirby
Happy Feet 2
Despicable me
Rune Factory: Fronter
Crash 2008 (Mind over Mutant)
The only other game I have that I am aware does not work currently is Tin Tin
but that seems to be a very well known issue across several USB Loaders and I
am not currently welling to take the steps outlined to make it work. So,
hopefully this will be solved more easily in the future.

;( Sorry to say this actually went in the opposite direction. Before the
bigger list of PAL games worked with the Wii set to NTSC and the 2 SIMS games
had the Black Screen and locked up the Wii with NTSC mode and a rolling picture
in PAL mode.
Now it seems that all of the PAL games get the black screen and lock up the Wii
in NTSC mode and they all get the rolling screen in PAL mode.
Sorry for the bad news.

OK, you had me really excited on that one as both the SIMS games work correctly
in NTSC mode on r472. However, it seems that all of the other PAL games don't
(but, slightly different).
In NTSC mode they give black screen and lock up the Wii.
In Default mode they give black screen and lock up the Wii.
In forced to PAL 50 mode they give the rolling screen.
So, it looks like progress anyway. ;)

Made it home and these are my test results.
These got the black screen and locked up Wii.
The SIMS 2: Pets
SIMS Animals: Africa
Project Runway
Mario Kart
LEGO Harry 2
Kung Fu Panda 2
Disney Think Fast
Despicable me
Crash 2008 (Mind over Mutant)
Battleship
Mario Strikers Charged Football
These worked correctly with NTSC set as the default:
Madagascar 3 (New to the list as I just got it)
The SIMS 3
Rune Factory: Frontier
The Last Story
Kirby
Happy Feet 2
I also tested a few of the NTSC games I have just to verify that they are still
working correctly and out of the subset I tested they all still appear from a
five minute / errr (4) game test to be OK.
The Disney Universe game (verified my copy is NTSC and that it works on r431)
also locks up the Wii with a black screen on r474.

Sorry for being late to the party.
r475 testing here is what I have found:
PAL Games that do work:
Back to the Future The Game (Slow to startup)
Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident (slow to Startup)
Dispicable Me (slow Startup)
Disney Epic Mickey (slow Startup, game play extremely skippy)
Go, Diego, Go! Great Dinosaur Rescue (slow Startup, game play skippy)
Just Dance (slow Startup, game play skippy)
Ivy the Kiwi (slow startup, black screen no responce)
PAL Games that do not work:
Black Screen wiimote lit up, system froze.
Conduit 2
Black Screen wiimote not lit up, system froze
Lego Pirates of the Caribean
Call of Duty World at War UK/FR
Disney Universe
On the working titles, there is a 30-60 second delay before video starts up.
And some of the games ran smoothly until game play then skippy.
Just to clarify, I have my wiiflow set to auto patch.
Fix your doing great.
Original comment by allymedi...@gmail.com
on 15 Jun 2012 at 6:21
You may set wiiflow to force NTSC to see if it makes a difference. 30-60
seconds shouldnt happen, for me there is a delay of prolly 3 seconds and it
works.
Original comment by fix94.1
on 15 Jun 2012 at 9:59
This is how I have it set. For the games that work the 3 second delay is
expected but the other games never come back from the black screen.
To be honest r431 works by far the best for me so I am simply looking for NTSC
copies of the two SIMS games that do not work correctly. This way I know all
of the other games do work. (Except for Tin Tin but again that is a bigger
issue.)
Original comment by rok...@gmail.com
on 15 Jun 2012 at 10:41
r431 works better than r239 for you then?
Original comment by fix94.1
on 15 Jun 2012 at 10:49
I don't know. I never used r239. I came from Wii Flow 2.1 straight to r431.
I love the NAND EMU for Game saves as we were running out of space on the Wii
(less than 200 blocks left now we have thousands) and the only issues I have
had at all have been the two SIMs games. Otherwise I think r431 is perfect.
I've been afraid to go backwards too far because I don't want the Game Saves on
the NAND EMU to break.

Original comment by rok...@gmail.com

Not only did all of the games load correct (NTSC and PAL in NTSC Mode) but they
really didn't have the delay in getting started either. Although it does seem
in r239 that the Wii Remote takes a bet longer to sync when entering the
WiiFlow Application.
NTSC Games...Disney U loaded without issue...plus I randomly selected 5 more
and they all worked correctly as well.
PAL Games that loaded correctly...(In NTSC Mode) - (This is a successful load
of each of my PAL games in NTSC mode.)
