Separate petals from the center of the plot #2

Hi, I'm trying to recreate the following image using ggflower (which by the way is amazing, just what I was looking for):

However I'm not having success. Is this something that can be achieved slightly modifying the current code? The default plot is almost there, I just need to "separate" the whole petal from the center.

Interesting. I will look into how we might be able to do that - it should be do-able, but at the moment I'm not quite sure how to implement it, so it will take some mucking around.
