Linux connects to tether but no internet #1779

Which device (manufacturer, type)? LG Optimus G

Which firmware is installed?  JB

What version of wireless tether are you using?
3.2 beta tre e mod
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.connect to android tether
2.open browser
3.no internet

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No connection even though connected
Please provide any additional information below.

Just wondering if there is a fix on the linux side for internet.  Can connect 
to internet at home but never get internet on android tether even though it 
connects.
