Can't sign in on iOS 17.4 even when SN is an exception in Lockdown Mode

It makes perfect sense to use standard notes when you are one of those who have lockdown mode enabled. Unfortunately, this bug is a road block for the security cautious. For me, standard notes simply stopped working on iOS.

We're also seeing this for our web assembly application as well. Confirmed worked before 17.4 by adding an exception though no longer. We'll be looking for a solution but noticed you guys have this problem too. Will report if we find anything.

ios 17.4.1 v 3.193.2 it has been 40 days. we can not use StandardNotes iOS app + webapp in lockdown mode.

I thought it could be fixed within a short time. really sorry for asking this, but should we look for other solutions? -paying customer + StandardNotes fan-

@postprivee Can you try disabling Lockdown mode just for the sign-in and then turning it back on?

@power833 I am not the OP, but I can confirm that disabling lockdown mode for sing-in does not resolve the issue. This is what happens when lockdown mode is re-enabled. iOS 17.4.1, SN Version 3.193.10

@lorenzomoon For me it works; it hangs for a bit at "Loading..." but then proceeds correctly. But I don't have that many notes.

I can confirm that it is possible to disable lockdown mode, login and then enable lockdown mode again. The sync will work and the notes will load, however if you have larger amount of notes the applications becomes really slow/laggy - basically unusable.

I can confirm, I've had this problem for weeks. Standard Notes is now impossible to use on my iPhone. I have more than 1000 notes. It is disappointing that such an issue takes so long to be solved. If it continues, I will have to see if Skiff Pages works with LockDown activated, and if yes if it can replace SN.

Since 17.4, webassembly does not work in app webviews or Safari when in lockdown mode, even when an exception is added.

@frigeky00 From what I've been able to find, there are no workarounds as long as you need WebAssembly and lockdown mode. I also haven't seen Apple address the issue whatsoever.

@frigeky00 I just realized that there was subtext to our interaction, so I just want to make something clear: I'm talking in general about the bug (I hope, then again I very seldomly agree with Apple's version of "works as intended") that Apple introduced in 17.4. I have no affiliation with this project; this issue just came up while I researched the bug.

Are there any updates on this issue? Recently I finally turned on lockdown mode and now I can't use SN on the phone at all.

StandardNotes is still my note-taking service of choice, but it looks like I'll have to migrate to something else, as I'm not going to turn off lockdown mode, considering all the security benefits it provides.
