There is a torrent file that exists in the google drive directory: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jljq2s1w9HXlw8cST0nMS-U2DKfk1iEB

There are already 5 peers seeding the torrent so the downloads are coming in quickly. I'll leave my peer running as a seed as well. The community is awesome.

This repo is for the buildroot image, not Debian.

I'm confused there's Release_Notes_for_Debian_Image55.pdf in the folder that ships with that directory and torrent. I converted that pdf to a text file using pdftotext so that you can read it.

pdftotext Release_Notes_for_Debian_Image55.pdf Release_Notes_for_Debian_Image55.txt

It says it's Debian:

Ok I see what you mean. I found something in:

/home/davidm/visionfive2prep/VisionFive2/work/buildroot_initramfs/images/rootfs.tar

cat ./usr/lib/os-release

NAME=Buildroot
VERSION=VF2_v2.4.4
ID=buildroot
VERSION_ID=2021.11
PRETTY_NAME="Buildroot 2021.11"

I guess it's time I get busy reading: https://nightly.buildroot.org/manual.pdf LOL

This is much different from using Debian Live-Build: https://terkeyberger.wordpress.com/2022/03/07/live-build-how-to-build-an-installable-debian-10-buster-live-cd/ https://live-team.pages.debian.net/live-manual/html/live-manual/examples.en.html and Archlinux archiso: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/archiso

I've never built an arm rootfs, but I've had to extract a rootfs onto an sdcard for the odroid-c2: https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/amlogic/odroid-c2 I did find the recipe to build the rootfs for odroid-c2 as a point of reference however: https://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?t=20662

I noticed a few people are downloading the image 55 which is ok because they still need it I think.

Also note there is a new torrent for image 69. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LbQMSP9ZSxA3IIWX9ukRtoOI1n-Fbcxo/view?usp=share_link
