Panes for feature annotations #471

Open mestato opened 5 years ago

mestato commented 5 years ago

Feature description

Currently, features have an annotation pane AND an interpro scans pane, with some duplicate information. When viewing the interproscan results in the annotation pane, its not clear that there is more detail in the interpro scans pane

I think we either have all annotations in one pane (BLAST, KEGG, GO, InterProScan) or we have them all in separate panes, but not a hybrid where we have a bit of both. My inclination is to go for separate panes. Note that I think its more appropriate to name the pane "InterProScan" as that is the name of the tool, instead of "InterPro Scans" which is what it does but looks a little off if you are used to the tool name.

(If we keep the overall "annotation" pane, a separate issue is that the interpro scan definition isn't appearing).

Example features: https://www.hardwoodgenomics.org/bio_data/287870?tripal_pane=gp_sio__annotation14713 https://www.hardwoodgenomics.org/feature/Lchi09073?tripal_pane=gp_sio__annotation14713

Since the annotations field is a core field, we might need to either create an issue or core or create our own simple field that allows us to customize the field to display only certain CVs.

@cricha59 Could you go through and change InterPro Scans to InterProScan? Steps to do that:

  1. Visit https://hardwoodgenomics.org/admin/structure/bio_data
  2. Click Manage Display on mRNA (or gene)
  3. Click edit on the InterPro Scans
  4. Change the name and save
