From the tech spec:

An institution has the following information:

Name (required)
Institution type: selected from NGO, Government, University, For-profit corporation, other (optional) o The list of institution types will be confirmed in discussion with the Agroecology Coalition.
Which country is the Institution HQ based? (optional)
What is the geographic reach of the institution? (country(ies), multi-country, regional) (optional)
Description (optional)

An institution manager can create a new portfolio with the following information: • Name (required) • Budget (optional) • Geographic reach (based on the UN geo-scheme standard 49: https://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/external/un-geoscheme-standard-m49) (optional)

Note: we will not be running checks against the locations given in initiatives vs the locations given in a portfolio.

We could run checks on the total budget of initiatives vs the given budget for a portfolio, as that will be much easier to code and more relevant for a funding assessment tool...
