Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

In the Google reviews I only received the following link as an answer: https://github.com/stefan-niedermann/nextcloud-deck/blob/master/FAQ.md#how-to-receive-notifications-when-a-due-date-is-reached

The setting described there no longer corresponds to the currently available settings. (I have linked a few screenshots here because unfortunately it didn't work to add a few pictures of myself to the issue.)

I don't currently need notifications about changes because I'm the only one accessing them, but I do need notification about due dates.

Can you please revise this and update the instructions?

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like to be able to activate notifications for the Nextcloud Deck app in the Android settings and also be notified when entries are due.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Dear @Matze202

as described in the FAQ, the Deck Android app does not and will never fetch and display notifications itself. Instead the Nextcloud Android app receives all Push Notifications and hands over the information to the Deck Android app when you are clicking on the notification.

Why am I telling you this? Effectively this means, there are two possible root causes:

  1. The Nextcloud Android App does not receive Push Notifications This can be caused if you don't have installed Google Play Services (for example for privacy or security reasons) on your phone. According to your screenshots your Nextcloud Android App receives Push Notifications, is this correct?
  2. The Deck Server app (which is not developed by us) does not send send the Push Notifications. Do you receive Push Notifications of the Deck server app in your browser or with your Desktop client?

In the Google reviews I only received the following link as an answer:

Please note, that there is a response limit of 300 characters when responding to Google Play reviews, not exactly enough to explain or discuss anything. We happily provide free support (as far as we can) in our free time but often people think they can hold us on ransom by putting a bad review and think that was motivating us in any way

Far be it from me to blackmail you or anyone else, but with my 4 star rating (1/2 stars doesn't exist) I simply expressed my opinion to create an incentive for you as a developer to optimize this, perhaps with the other developers of the Nextcloud internal apps, and when this is achieved you will give it 5 stars from me. Furthermore, I am just a user of your app and know absolutely nothing about developing native apps. I don't use the notifications in the Nextcloud internal app (or rather on the browser side), but I find it very useful on the smartphone. And why should we as users always mediate between you as developers when we often have much less knowledge of the in-depth material, then it would be better if you as developers could get in touch, because you want to satisfy users together on the same project, don't you? ;)
