Hi, could you please provide me another example of the issue? I'm not sure I full understand what would you like
I'd like a way to specify the title of the note being created from Zotero, to be in the form of a proper citation.
By default, the citekey looks like CorbinAnderson2016
or Smithetal2019
. I'd like a way to have the title of the note being created to include spaces and breaks of the authors, specifically to match a proper citation format, such as Corbin and Anderson (2016)
or Smith et al. (2019)
The rule would basically be: If its <=2 authors, both last names are listed, if its >2, only the first author's last name, followed by "et al.", then followed by the year in ( ).
Hope that helps?
I've tried what I can from the BetterBibTeX addon for Zotero, to change the citekey itself to be closer to what I want, but spaces are not allowed and are always removed. So, the closest I can get is something like Corbin.Anderson.(2016)
.
Hey, thanks for the work you do, this has helped me a lot with doing my research.
Would it be possible at all to import notes with their title as a citation?
For example, instead of
Mayo.etal.,(2018)
(the citekey), I getMayo et al., (2018)
Basically, just the need the shortened authors (with et al. if more than 2), spaced, and the year in parentheses.
