El código del botón con imagen en CSS no funciona para IE7.

Lo mejor es jamás usar ningun Internet explorer, sin embargo tu problema 
radica en que no puedes usar imagenes de background en un boton en IE 7, mejor 
unsa jQuery.click() sobre la imagen. Saludos!
