screenplay formatting #272

I can't seem to find ( in the Linux image) a place to check the formatting of a screenplay. I think the industry format is as below BUT my script doesn't seem to conform to it. What am I missing please?

The industry standard font and layout for a screenplay is highly specific:

Font: 12-point Courier (or Courier New)
This font is used because it creates consistent page length, with one page roughly equating to one minute of screen time.

Page size: 8.5" x 11" (US Letter)

Margins:
    Left margin: 1.5 inches
    Right margin: 1 inch
    Top margin: 1 inch
    Bottom margin: 1 inch

Line spacing: Single-spaced within elements, but double-spaced between them (e.g., between action and dialogue).

You can find them in the menu - application settings - screenplay - template - create new template based on current.

Hi Dimka thank you for looking into this. I just looked and can't see how to change the font or the line spacing. Note the spacing is important and specific

thank you, I didn't look in the docs for the help, sorry about that. I was hoping for a template that will apply to the script in general as, on first read, it seems I have to create a template for every entity ( scene, character etc). I can see why this has been done this way and happy to do it but I wonder if pointed to the github where we can store our templates when done. IF I'm correct and what I stated at the OP is the standard for Hollywood ( I think it is) then it would be useful to others. Just a thought and thanks again

Custom templates stored in the app directory, but you can save and load them via interface option. The app has several default templates, which are compatible with different standards (for example, US template compatible with the Hollywood requirements).

ok thank you. I'll take a look. Right now my script is a mess as I was getting to know the software. Too many crlf's and pretty sure the timing is out.
